the best new podcast for kids

Brianna Peterson former host and producer of ABC's Imagine This podcast

Brianna Peterson

Host & Producer

Brie is a multi award-winning podcast producer & provisional psychologist working with kids and families.

As an AFTRS graduate, Brie has a strong history in community radio, producing the CRN’s National program Kid’s Caravan in 2009. She has worked as a radio producer for ABC both locally and nationally & is the voice and producer behind three smash-hit seasons of Imagine This (ABC Kids Listen’s first podcast for preschool children).

As a kid, Brie loved playing with the tape recorder. She spent hours recording the birds, interviewing her family & trying to get the neighbor’s cat to talk into the microphone. As a 10 year old, Brie would snip & sticky tape the cassette reels together & make the perfect home documentaries & countdown mixes. Nothing has changed (apart from the whole digital thing). Brie loves everything about audio production, from field recording to sound design and mixing.

Brie combines her background in early childcare, radio production & psychology to make exceptional programming for young children. At Home With Brie is a call to action during a global pandemic. It gives us a snapshot of what life is like for kids growing up in Australia & contributes children’s’ voices to the global podcast landscape. The show is an independent passion project, produced from Brie’s backyard studio in the wee hours when the world is quiet.
